The inaugural Tourism Week will kick off across the Gold Coast from 1 – 7 July and the Southern Gold Coast will be joining the festivities.
Tourism Week 2018 is a celebration of the tourism sector within the Gold Coast. Tourism represents 17% of the city’s economy and supports directly and indirectly some 40,000 jobs. Almost every part of the city is touched by tourism in some way and this special week-long focus aims to embrace the significance of tourism to the business and residents of this city, economically, culturally, socially and certainly historically.
In addition to a series of events, gatherings and seminars held across the city, including the iconic TV Week Logie Awards, the Southern Gold Coast will host a special Gold Coast Tourism Week SKAL breakfast on 5 July where guest speaker David Crisafulli, Member for Broadwater will provide an overview of the importance of the Gold Coast visitor economy.
The Gold Coast Tourism Week SKAL breakfast will be held from 7:00 – 9:00am on 5 July at Currumbin RSL. For full details, including registration, click
