Festival 2018 Comes to Town

Posted on Friday, February 02, 2018

Festival 2018 is coming to the Southern Gold Coast, bringing two events to Currumbin during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Quiet by Nature will lead festivalgoers on a Kayaking journey along Currumbin Estuary from 5 – 8 April and Fijian dance company, Vou, will perform on 7 – 8 April in Winders Park.

Held from 4 – 15 April, Festival 2018 will see 12 days of culture take over the region in the form of music, dance, theatre, art, circus and film.

Three themes will be threaded throughout the programs, focusing on the ideas of 'Encounters in which we meet the world', 'Change in which we effect positive change in the world' and 'Aspire in which we uplift and transform ourselves and those around us'.

Festival 2018 is a fantastic opportunity for the local community and visitors to unite and celebrate culture from across the globe at Australia’s biggest multi-sport event this decade.
