Australasia’s largest Resort, Club and Member Management Company Classic Holidays, is celebrating 40 years of holiday memories in 2018.

Established in 1978, the Gold Coast-based company has grown to more than 65,000 member families and over 30 properties under management across Australia and New Zealand.

Classic Holidays’ two Southern Gold Coast resorts, Beach House Seaside Resort and Beachcomber International Resort, have both shared a rich history, with Beach House one of Coolangatta’s original guest houses that made the suburb a famous holiday destination in the early 20th century.

It was also the first resort to join Classic Holidays’ management and to this day remains one of their most popular resorts, achieving over 95% occupancy year after year.

Classic Holidays’ Chief Operating Officer, Carole Smith said Coolangatta has been a significant contributor to the company’s success.

“Beach House Seaside Resort and Beachcomber International Resort both have an amazing history stretching back decades,” said Ms Smith.

“Coolangatta’s spectacular beaches and relaxed lifestyle continue to see these resorts in high demand all year round,” she said.

“We love being part of the local community here and look forward to seeing where the next 40 years take us.”

Congratulations to Classic Holidays on this 40 year milestone and we thank them for their contribution to the tourism industry on the Southern Gold Coast.
