Australian Tourism Exchange Brings Benefit to SGC

Posted on Tuesday, June 30, 2015

The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) – the largest annual travel and tourism business event in the country – was held in Melbourne from 21 – 25 June.

Connecting Southern Gold Coast was represented by CEO Peter Doggett, identifying new opportunities for pre & post agent & media famils to the region next year.

Around 1200 Australian Seller delegates from approximately 500 companies, 700 key Buyer delegates from over 30 countries, and over 80 international and Australian media attended the global event – making it an invaluable exercise for promoting the Gold Coast destination to a global audience.

Next year, ATE will be hosted at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on the Gold Coast, which is a major coup for the city.

Southern Gold Coast tourism operators are encouraged to think about how their business can be represented at ATE in 2016 to key international markets, and can contact Peter on (07) 5534 3500 or email Peter to discuss any questions.
