Business Success Program

The CSGC Business Success Program is designed to enhance businesses across the Southern Gold Coast through targeted learning and skills development. If you’re looking to grow your business, start a new business or are simply looking for advice on how to do business better, this is the program for you.
Held at the Connecting Southern Gold Coast offices on Level 2 at The Strand at Coolangatta, the successful training program is in its fifth year and has helped more than 50 local businesses per year build their success. The workshops are run by a Small Business Solutions and TAFE Queensland mentor and business coach.
BUILD A BETTER BUSINESS
Through this four week workshops series, an expert business mentor will guide you through critical periods of business development and arm you with the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to clarify your ideas and move into the next stage of business growth.
Through the workshops, you will learn how to:
■ Upgrade your understanding of business finances and be empowered to improve business profitability
■ Improve, innovate and grow your business
■ Optimise your business with the latest online business planning
■ Create a practical, user-friendly business action plan, the must have tool for your business
■ Develop an innovative digital marketing plan and grow your connection with customers
■ Create new actionable ideas and grow your small business
■ Discover your customers in an entirely new way
■ Reduce your stress by actioning a business improvement audit on your business
■ Upgrade your mindset and be empowered as a purposeful leader in business
■ Take away tools that will boost your business
The next course dates are Thursday 14, 21, 28 March and 4 April 2019.
These are small group sessions, with a maximum group size of 8. The program is delivered through a combination of face-to- face and online learning. The structure of the program is:
- 4x3 hours face-to-face group mentoring
- Online learning, support and networking
- 2 hours of one-on-one mentoring to assist with implementation of the business action plan
About the Presenter
Dr Edward Gifford is a professionally trained coach specialising in executive, leadership and business coaching as well as career coaching and outplacement.
Edward is an accredited business skills mentor and coach for Qld Government's Small Business Solutions. He is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation.
Edward's consulting services include a focus on leadership and management development, strategic thinking, team building, workplace engagement and work-life integration. He works with clients to achieve a crystal clear purpose and vision, stretegise their action plan, upgrade and develop their business skills, stay on purpose and master their psychology.

Terms and Conditions
To be eligible for the course, participants must:
- Be 15 years or older and no longer in school
- Reside in Queensland
- Be an Australian citizen or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Be an owner, manager or employee of a small business in Queensland
- Supply an Australian Business Number (ABN) along with supporting evidence
- Not be enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher level qualification
You must have access to a laptop or iPad to complete the course work, which is to be brought along to the workshops.
If you are found to be not eligible, you will forfeit your course registration fee. If you are accepted into the course and do not complete the full course, you will be eligible to pay the
FULL course fee at it’s full value. Therefore, you must agree to commit the time and energy to complete the course including the development of a business action plan and associated skills and knowledge activities, in order to better your business, your skills and your qualifications.
